Beyond War Casualties

I just saw the end of a documentary on the A&E network here, which stated that since World War II 150,000,000 people have died from war crimes around the world. If we assume for a moment that this number is correct, it is safe to assume that there were another 1-2 billion casualties of one kind or another from various movements and government. The only institutional response are war UN crime tribunals. It just boggles the mind that the US as the most heavily armed nation chose not to subscribe to such a process, or does it make sense - of sorts? Is anybody counting corporate casualties? We are not doing well at all.
