Liars for Bush (Reprise)

Ah, Fran Townsend. Little Frannie went on CNN this morning to refute Tom Ridge's admission claims about BushCo pushing bogus terror alerts to divert attention from whatever fuck-up they were currently inflicting on the country.

Here's my favorite Frannie memory:
In her resignation letter, Townsend paid tribute to President [George W.] Bush by saying: "In 1937, the playwright Maxwell Anderson wrote of President George Washington: 'There are some men who lift the age they inhabit, til all men walk on higher ground in their lifetime.' Mr. President, you are such a man."
Go away, Fran. Don your best flip-flops and go have a diet Snapple or a Crystal Light slushie with Monica Goodling, Rachel Paulose, and Harriet Meiers.
