Geert Wilders knows nothing about the history of New Amsterdam. Peter Stuyvesant was not tolerant of different religions. I guess no one told him about the Flushing Remonstrance, which is considered one of the earliest expressions of religious tolerance in the Americas. Probably no one in the crowd even knows about the Flushing Remonstrance.
