Fair and Balanced

So the Wisconsin GOP wants to see a professor's emails because he wrote a column criticizing them...while demanding a video of a public address by a House Republican from Wisconsin moaning about his six-figure salary be pulled down.

Joe McCarthy would be proud.

Transpaquity, a new term formed by pairing transparency with opaqueness.
Takes insanity to a new level. The gnews will never notice.

Let's see,

1) going after the unions, professors, liberals and homosexuals
2) eliminating and marginalizing their political opposition
3) defying the law to achieve their goals
4) preaching a return to a sacred tradition of family, religion and nationalism
5) glorifying militarism, tough law and prisons, and
6) working with rich industrialists to strengthen their regime to achieve their openly stated goal of single-party rule favoring a business-state relationship.

And, they have their own propaganda ministry in Faux News.

You know, if it wasn't for the Godwin's Law, a law so powerful it requires and people willingly comply with wearing lead-lined blinders at all times or risk severe cyber approbation and stern finger wags, I'd swear this sounds sooooooooo familiar. And I'd name names.

Of course if I were naming names, I'd start with a certain very influential Christian evangelical preacher who pointed out that the guy with the name not to ever be mentioned was a Hunter for the Lord.

I wonder how close the GOP is to no longer having to publicly run from such a sweet old grandfatherly preacher and his special message of salvation. I'm guessing, based on the current trend of dropping all pretense, pretty soon.
